This super healing bone broth drink combines all my favorite ingredients for battling colds or sickness naturally: bone broth, turmeric, and ginger. The minerals and collagen in bone broth support the immune system. Turmeric is a potent antioxidant and anti inflammatory. It also has antibacterial and antiviral properties. Note that turmeric is fat soluble, meaning that without fat your body will not be able to absorb the turmeric. This is why I added ghee to the recipe. The black pepper in the recipe also increases the bioavailability of turmeric. Ginger is another powerful antioxidant and anti inflammatory. These properties make bone broth, turmeric, and ginger great for healing colds. I make this drink whenever I feel a cold coming on to try to prevent it from developing. This drink is also great for healing if you already have a cold.

- 3/4 cup warm bone broth, homemade or high quality store bought
- 1/8 tsp turmeric
- 1/8 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp ghee
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Add the bone broth, spices, and ghee to a mug. Add the salt and pepper to taste.
Note: If you are using store bought broth, salt will probably not be necessary. I find homemade bone broth needs some salt added to bring out the flavor.
- Use a frother, I use a hand held milk frother, to mix ingredients together.
